Cabaret

Thoughts for today from Amber...

Wow, it's been quite a while since I posted! Let's see. Tonight is the school's annual talent show, Cabaret. My dad (the school's Chem/Physics teacher) is going to be performing, though I was rejected. Not that I'm bitter. Or even remotely upset. Nope. Totally calm over here.

Okay, so maybe it bugs me a little. Still, I'm not going to obsess about it. I got that over with the night the list (without my name) got posted. Tonight I'm just going to watch the show, and it's going to be awesome, I'm sure. :)

Anyway, I don't know everybody who's going to perform, but I'll see who all I can remember. Hannah Miller. Mr. Williams (the English teacher) and Katie Karr are doing a duet. Ummm... Haley Boland. Luke Garrigus (sorry if I spelled that wrong!). I think Nathan Sheryak is doing something... If I remember, I'll post again later tonight or tomorrow and update who all was actually there. Till then--bye!

Harvey

Thoughts for today from Amber...

Okay, first of all. If you haven't seen the play Harvey, which I mentioned last Friday, GO FIND IT. I couldn't stop laughing ALL NIGHT. Basically, the play is about a man named Elwood whose best friend is a pooka, which appears to him in the form of a six-foot-one-and-a-half-inch white rabbit named Harvey. Harvey is invisible to everyone but Elwood, and the play is centered around Elwood's sister trying to commit him to a mental hospital. Much hilarity ensues, including the accidental committing of Elwood's sister rather than Elwood himself.

Everyone at GHS who helped to put on this play has my eternal respect and fandom, particularly Nathan Sheryak, Mallory Ward, Hannah Miller, A.J. Vleck, and the big empty space that played Harvey. If I tried to list everybody that was in the play, this entry would be much too long, so you all know who you are.
